"IN YOUR ROOM" - Aleksandra Kujawska in Lipowa 3 Gallery

The number of interesting facts in the biography of Aleksandra Kujawska would be enough for several people, as well as the scope of her various interests, positive energy and courage to implement the plans, thanks to which one day she quit her job in a corporation and returned to what once fascinated her the most – to glass.

The Artist lives in line with the eco philosophy; she has been a vegetarian since early childhood, and that is why the main theme that she has been dealing with in recent years is the relationship between man and nature. Her works presented in Lipowa 3 Gallery, however, are something more than just an expression of longing for Nature, which affects probably every big city dweller. "IN YOUR ROOM" is primarily a tribute to the Artist’s younger brother, Adam Emil, who died in 2015. The exhibition reminds us of the fragility of life and the fact that as a part of the world of nature we are biological and mortal creatures.

"IN YOUR ROOM" is an installation exhibition, where glass objects, images and sounds form an integral whole. It is the very first time for Lipowa 3 Gallery to host such an exhibition. You are all cordially invited.

In your room. Stray keys in the pocket, our photo taken by someone, a tape (“Depeche Mode” recorded from Polish Radio Three). It hurts. Slightly less, overgrown with everyday life. I protect. In glass bubbles. Among ferns, deepest there in myself.

Aleksandra is smile, energy and strength. That is what she is like. She juggles with glass bubbles as if they were soap ones. She grabs dreams and does not let them go. She always says: "It will be ok." At the "In Your Room" exhibition, we have a chance to meet a different Aleksandra. A sensitive and fragile artist who, in her beloved glass, rescues from oblivion everything that is the most important for her: photo with her brother, his favourite music, stray keys.
